Promotion of developmental thought
Promotion of Developmental Thought
AGFUND's struggle for promoting developmental thought, is based on its beliefs in spreading knowledge in developing societies to create new concepts of development that are accessible to different social sectors. AGFUND’s attempts always seek to build bridges between these societies in order to exchange experiences and benefit from other developmental projects.
This tendency helps develop better methodologies for overcoming complex problems of poverty, segregation or social and economic marginalization of fragile groups. Out of this outlook, came the idea of AGFUND’s International Award for Pioneering Developmental Projects that aims to discover and identify developmental projects that contribute in realizing its goals. Besides its merit in honoring pioneers, the Award announces the distinguished projects promotes then and encourages their implementation in other countries.
The AGFUND Prize
The AGFUND Prize for leading development projects is an extension of the AGFUND approach that focuses on developmental performance and enhances the achievement of sustainability and investment in human resources..
The Award in itself, is an innovative and creative way to initiate project funding. It is the first proposal of its kind to stimulate development contributions that highlight successful models and disseminate them. It promotes outstanding efforts aimed at developing sustainable human development concepts and dimensions. It creates a leap in methodical foundation that assist in achieving its objectives.
