AGFUND believes that, a balanced and fair development is the real reform that Arab societies should aspire to. This reform in addition to real motivation, determination and a clear vision, is founded on crucial pillars like:

• Preserving man's dignity.
• Offering people many alternatives.
• Providing good education.
• Providing opportunities for women and releasing their potential.
• Consolidating the culture of sharing.
• Promoting civil society and acknowledging its central role in development.
• Utilizing human experience.

Based on these principles, AGFUND formulated its strategic goals centered around combating poverty, childhood development, supporting NGO's, encouraging open education, woman empowerment, promoting progress, etc. In the light of these goals, AGFUND led a number of initiatives that reflected its principles.

Such initiatives were achieved in the form of specialized institution and foundations. AGFUND realized from the beginning, the importance of labor foundations and the significance of working with them and  sharing new ideas and experiences that these institution provide, especially when working within a transparent framework. Such concepts have become world trends that set high hopes for realizing the developmental millennium goals that are particularly recommended by the United Nations.

AGFUND’s initiatives have become significant signposts in the field of development and among partners: the AGFUND's “style” in developmental work. These initiatives contribute to strengthen advanced modern concepts of development by establishing real values and practical measures for successful applications and project replication.

Throughout its experiences stretching over more than half a century, AGFUND has realized that development can be made achievable and more successful, only if factors leading to disparity and variation in a community are neutralized. These thoughts are what make the process of fund attraction successful and what inspires partners and institutions to take initiatives and develop realistic ideas to participate in projects promoted by AGFUND.
